Final Fantasy XV Episode Ardyn Prologue Anime Short's Teaser Reveals February Launch

The official YouTube channel for Square Enix's Final Fantasy XV game began streaming a story teaser for the "Final Fantasy XV: Episode Ardyn Prologue" short anime on Thursday. The teaser announces that the short will premiere in February.

Final Fantasy XV "Episode Ardyn" DLC director Takefumi Terada stated the anime will "provide context as to why Ardyn became wild for revenge." The short animation will debut before the "Episode Ardyn" DLC is released in March.

Square Enix cancelled the development on the planned "Episode Aranea," "Episode Lunafreya," and "Episode Noctis" DLC.

The Final Fantasy XV game released the game's multiplayer component, Final Fantasy XV Multiplayer: Comrades, as a standalone game last month. The game also launched its collaboration with the Final Fantasy XIV game last month.
