The official Comic
Meteor page for Alifred Yamamoto's Rikei ga Koi ni Ochita no de Shōmei
Shite Mita (Science Fell in Love, So I Tried to Prove It)
romantic comedy manga announced on Wednesday that a television anime adaptation
of the manga has been green-lit. The anime's staff also opened a website for
the anime, which will reveal more details about the project at a later date.
The manga
centers on Ayame Himuro and Shinya Yukimura, two scientists who are in love
with each other. They want to prove that their love can be scientifically
proven, quantified, and expressed factually.
The manga
launched on G-mode's Comic Meteor website in
2016, and Holp Shuppan published the manga's
fourth compiled book volume last July. The manga's fifth volume will ship on
Saturday. The manga has more than 600,000 copies in print.
A live-action
television series of the manga premiered last September, and aired
for four episodes. A live-action film will then open on February 1. Both
adaptations feature the same cast, led by Nana
Asakawa as Ayame Himuro and Shun
Nishime as Shinya Yukimura. Other cast members include Yūka Yano, Tom Fujita, and Karin
Ogino.
