Dragon Ball Super Manga Launches 'Galactic Patrol Prisoner
Arc' Next Month
This year's January issue of Shueisha's V Jump magazine announced
on Wednesday that ToyotarÅ's Dragon Ball Super manga will launch a
new "Galactic Patrol Prisoner Arc" in the next issue on December 21.
This month's chapter 42 finished the manga's version of the events of the Dragon Ball Super anime
before introducing new characters for the new arc.
The middle of
the 42nd chapter also included a brief and vague recap of the Dragon Ball Super: Broly film, suggesting that the
manga will skip the events the film.
ToyotarÅ launched the manga in V Jump magazine in
June 2015 as an adaptation of the Dragon
Ball Super anime, though the manga diverges from the anime
in several ways. Viz Media is publishing the
manga online as it debuts in Japan, and will publish the fourth compiled volume
on January 1.
Dragon
Ball Super: Broly had its world premiere event at Nippon Budokan on November
14, and will open in Japan on December 14. The English dub will
have its world premiere at the TCL Chinese Theater in Hollywood on
December 13, and then open in the United States and Canada on January 16. The
film's story will take place after the Dragon Ball Super anime, and it
will get a novel adaptation.
