The official website for Studio
Gokumi's original television anime Endro~! began streaming the anime's first promotional video
on Tuesday. The video reveals the show's theme song information and premiere
date.
"YÅ«sha
Party," a group consisting of cast members Hikaru Akao, Shiina Natsukawa, Ari Ozawa, and Inori Minase performing in character,
are performing the opening song "Endoro~ru!" (previewed in the video
above), while Minase is performing the ending song "Wonder Caravan!"
The anime will
premiere on Tokyo MX and BS11 on the night of Saturday, January 12 at 1:00 a.m.
(effectively Sunday morning).
The cast
includes:
Hikaru Akao as YÅ«sha (YÅ«ria Shardet, spelling not confirmed). She is a bit of
an airhead and was blessed with good intuition and good luck. She does not have
much common sense, and often goes into other people's houses to search for
items. YÅ«sha's name is a wordplay on the Japanese word for "brave" or
"hero."
Shiina Natsukawa as Seyla
(Elnowar Seylan, spelling not confirmed). Seyla is a very serious young woman
and serves as the party's straight man. She is a holy elf and is good at taking
care of others, but is bad at housework. She has bad eyesight but does not wear
glasses, and cannot use a bow.
Ari Ozawa as Fai (Fai Fai, spelling not confirmed).
Fai is a warrior who is naive and energetic, and loves food and her friends.
She has a habit of going berserk and attacking her friends by gnawing on them
when her hunger reaches its limit.
Inori Minase as Mei (Meiza
Endust, spelling not confirmed). Mei is a quiet magician who is usually
expressionless. When it comes to the mysterious item "Caltard," she
becomes really passionate.
Misaki Kuno as
Mao, a rookie teacher who teaches at the "Adventurer School" that
YÅ«sha and her friends attend. She's mature but because she looks so young the
students treat her like the school's cute mascot. Mao's name is a wordplay on
the Japanese word for "demon king."
Momo Asakura as
Princess Rona (Rona Pricipa O Rabanesta, spelling not confirmed). Rona is the
princess of Rabanesta, the only kingdom on Naral Island. Her favorite book is
"Tales of Heroes," and she loves the existence of heroes. She is
usually calm, but exhibits unusual behavior when heroes are concerned.
The anime's story is set on Naral Island, a continent with
swords and magic in which humans and monsters coexist. The terrible Demon King
lives there. In ancient times, the first-generation hero defeated the Demon
King. Over the many successive generations since then, the Demon King has been
resurrected, and the hero who opposes him has likewise reappeared. Girls attend
a school for adventurers in order to defeat the Demon King when he appears
again.
Though
a bit absent-minded, Yusha has the body of a hero. The holy elf Seyla's trouble
never ends because she is too serious. The cheerful warrior Fai loves to eat.
Mei is a quiet otaku magician. As the four girls aim to
be in the hero party, they live relaxed fantasy lives and show no sign of
defeating the Demon King no matter how much time passes.
Kaori (Yuyushiki, How to keep a mummy) is directing the
"everyday fantasy" anime. Takashi Aoshima (Yuruyuri - Happy Go Lily, Love Lab, Himouto! Umaruchan) is in charge of series
composition. Namori (Yuruyuri) is the original
character designer, and Haruko Iizuka (Sisters of Wellber, Tamayura, Children of the Whales) is adapting the original
character designs for animation.
Izumi Minami
launched a manga adaptation of the project on Hobby Japan's Comic
Fire website in August. The project is also getting a figure
from Amakuni, designed by Grizzry Panda.
