Gunjō no Magmell TV Anime Premieres in April 2019
The anime will star:
The
official website for Studio Pierrot's television anime adaptation of
Chinese manga creator Dainenbyō's Gunjō no Magmell (Magmell of the Sea Blue)
manga revealed on Thursday that the anime will premiere in April 2019.
The official YouTube channel for Weekly Shonen Jump is also streaming a
comment video featuring voice actor Kengo Kawanishi and voice actress M.A.O,
who star in the show.
The anime will star:
Kengo Kawanishi as Inyō, a young man who provides relief to adventurers
M.A.O as Zero, Inyō's assistant
Hibiku Yamamura as
Emilia, who commissions Inyō
Toshiyuki Morikawa as
Shūin, Inyō's master
Hayato Date (Naruto, Naruto Shippūden, Saiyuki) is directing the series
at studio Pierrot. Chūji Mikasano (Tokyo Ghoul, Tokyo Ghoul √A, Tokyo Ghoul:re) is in charge of scenario
organization. Yasuharu Takanashi (Fairy Tail, Naruto Shippūden, Boruto: Naruto Next
Generations) is composing the music.
The fantasy
series takes place in a world where a new continent named Magmell suddenly
appears in the ocean, and a new age of exploration begins. Explorers venture to
the island to find previously unknown lifeforms and resources, but experience
one disaster after another. The manga follows the mysterious young men who make
a living as relief workers who aid the explorers.
Dainenbyō launched the manga on Shueisha's Shonen Jump+ app in June 2015, and Shueisha published
the 74th chapter on November 13. Shueishapublished the
manga's fourth volume in print in July 2017.
