'Nora, Princess, and Stray Cat' Game Series Gets New Anime
Project
Harukaze's
official website for the anime based on its Nora, Princess, and Stray Cat (Nora to Ōjo to Noraneko
Heart)
adult visual novel series revealed on Thursday that the game series is
inspiring a new anime project that is currently in production. The site also
announced that the game series is getting an "overseas edition." The
game series will also have a booth at Comic Market (Comiket) 95 from December 29-31.
Harukaze
released the first game for PC in February 2016. The game received a port for
the PlayStation Vita in September 2017, and then a port for PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch launched on October 25.
A sequel game
titled Nora, Princess,
and Crying Cat. (Nora
to Ōjo to Noraneko Heart 2) will launch for PS4, PS Vita,
and Switch on February 28. Hato is again returning to write the scenario for
the game, and Itsuki Ōzora is drawing the illustrations.
The first game inspired a series of five-minute anime
shorts that premiered in July 2017. Crunchyroll streamed the
12-episode anime as it aired.
The anime's
story centers on high school student Nora Handa. One day, on the way to school,
Nora meets a girl named Patricia in a park. Patricia says that she is a
princess of the underworld, and she has come to the surface world to destroy
all life. Nora and Patricia accidentally kiss, and this act turns Nora into a
black cat. Patricia takes Nora to her home, and a few days later Nora turns
back into a human. However, Nora keeps turning into a cat and back into a
human.
A manga
adaptation of the game launched in Kadokawa's Dengeki G's Comic magazine in June 2017.
Additionally, Kentarō Kobayashi wrote a novel adaptation with illustrations by
Itsuki Ōzora that also launched in June 2017. Hato supervised the novel.
