Prison Lab Manga Gets Anime on Anime Beans App

The official Twitter account for the LINE LIVE service announced on Monday that an anime adaptation of Chiho Minase and Kantetsu's Kangoku Jikken -Prison Labo- manga has been green-lit for Production I.G's Anime Beans app this winter.

The app is running an audition for voice actors for the anime, and began accepting applications on Monday. The audition will run until November 28.
The manga centers on Eyama Aito, a depressed high school student who is a victim of bullying every day. He receives a letter on the last day of school before summer vacation, inviting him to a "confinement game" where he can name any person, who will then be confined for a month. Aside from murder, Eyama is allowed to do anything to the person, with the promise of a money reward at the end. For his target, Eyama picks Aya Kirishima, the ringleader of the pack that bullies him.
Futabasha published the manga's first compiled book volume in February 2016. The manga's seventh volume shipped on June 28, and the eighth volume will ship on December 12.
Production I.G launched the Tate Anime app in June 2017 and it ended service on May 31. The app offered short (about three-minute) anime that update on weekdays, and each series had 10 episodes. The anime was presented vertically for smartphones. Production I.G rebranded the app as Anime Beans in June, and it no longer features exclusively vertical anime.
