Psycho-Pass SS Anime Film Trilogy Gets Manga Adaptations

The official website for the three-film Psycho-Pass SS or Psycho-Pass: Sinners of the System project revealed on Wednesday that all three films will get manga adaptations. Natsuo Sai (Psycho-Pass: Inspector Shinya Kōgami) will draw all three manga.

Mag Garden will release the first volume inspired by the first film in the trilogy, Psycho-Pass: Sinners of the System Case.1 Tsumi to Batsu(Crime and Punishment), on January 25. The film will open in Japan on the same day.
Midori Gotou and Sai launched the Psycho-Pass: Inspector Shinya Kōgami prequel spinoff manga in Mag Garden's Monthly Comic Blade magazine in June 2014 and ended it last December. Mag Gardenpublished six volumes for the series. Dark Horse Comics licensed the manga and published the fourth volume in North America on March 7.
Psycho-Pass: Sinners of the System Case.2 First Guardian, the second film in the trilogy, will open on February 15. Psycho-Pass: Sinners of the System Case.3 Onshū no Kanata ni ____ (In the Realm Beyond Is ____), the final film, will open on March 8.
The original Psycho-Pass anime premiered in 2012 and ran for 22 episodes. The 11-episode Psycho-Pass 2 television anime series then premiered in 2014, and the Psycho-Pass film opened in Japan in 2015. Funimation released all three anime on home video. The franchise has inspired several manga adaptations and spinoff manga, as well as the Psycho-Pass: Mandatory Happiness game.
