The Morose Mononokean Anime's 2nd Season Premieres on
January 5
The official website for Fukigen na Mononokean Tsuzuki (The Morose
Mononokean Sequel), the second television anime season of Kiri Wazawa's The Morose Mononokean (Fukigen na Mononokean)
manga, revealed the anime's premiere dates on Thursday. The anime will premiere
on AT-X on January 5 at 9:00 p.m. in Japan (7:00 a.m. EST), and
then on Tokyo MX and Sun TV on January 6 at
10:00 p.m. and 11:30 p.m., respectively. It will also start on BS Fuji on January 8 at 24:30 (effectively January 9 at 12:30 a.m.).

Plus. Takao
Yoshioka (Ikki
Tousen, High
School DxD, Your
Lie in April) is returning to handle series composition. Mizuki Aoba (Minna
Atsumare! Falcom Gakuen SC) is replacing Atsuko Kageyama as character
designer. Four-member male vocal group mono palette will perform the
opening theme song "Long Time Traveller."
Hiro Shimono and Koji Yusa will play the
new characters Shihō and Gyōsei, respectively. The new characters are two of
three influential individuals in the world of the yōkai.
The first television
anime season premiered in 2016, and Crunchyroll streamed the series
as it aired in Japan. Funimation released the series
on home video in January.
