Fairy Tail: Final Season Anime Reveals New Theme Song
Artists
The official website for the Fairy Tail anime revealed the new
theme songs for the anime on Monday. THE RAMPAGE from EXILE TRIBE will perform
the new opening song "DOWN BY LAW," while EMPiRE will perform the new ending theme song "Pierce." Both
songs will debut on January 13 in the franchise's 291st overall
episode.
The latest and
final anime season based on Hiro Mashima's manga premiered in
Japan on October 7. Crunchyroll and Funimation are streaming the anime with English subtitles. Funimation is
also streaming an English dub.
The main staff
all return from the second and most recent television anime. Shinji Ishihira is directing at A-1 Pictures and Bridge, Masashi Sogo is handling series composition, and Shinji Takeuchi and Toshihiko Sano are designing the
characters. Shoji Hata is the sound designer and Yasuharu Takanashi is composing the music. With the exception of the second
animation studio and the character designers, the main staff is also the same
as the first anime.
Mashima's Fairy Tail manga series follows the
adventures of world's most notorious mage guild, Fairy Tail. The manga launched
in 2006 and ended last July.
The manga has
inspired two earlier television anime, two anime films, several original
video anime projects, and spinoff manga. Kodansha Comics publishes the original manga and a number of its spinoffs in
North America.
