Sewayaki Kitsune no Senko-san Manga About Fox Spirit Gets
TV Anime
Kadokawa announced
on Monday that Rimukoro's Sewayaki Kitsune no Senko-san (Senko, the
Always-Helpful Fox) is inspiring a television anime adaptation that will
premiere in spring 2019. Tomoaki Koshida (Zoku Touken Ranbu: Hanamaru.) is
directing the anime at Doga Kobo. Yoshiko Nakamura (Monthly Girls' Nozaki-kun, Tada
Never Falls in Love) is in charge of series composition and is
penning the scripts. Miwa Oshima (The Story of Saiunkoku, Koihime
Musō, Aria the Scarlet Ammo AA) is
designing the characters.
The "healing comedy" manga centers on Nakano, an
employee of an exploitative "black" company, who meets a divine fox
spirit named Senko. While she looks like a young girl, Senko is in fact 800
years old. She offers to spoil Nakano as much as possible, and begins looking
after him.
Rimukoro launched the
manga on Kadokawa's Comic Newtype manga website in October
2017. Kadokawa published
the manga's second compiled book volume on August 10, and will publish the
third volume on December 10. The manga ranked #16 in the web manga
category of Niconico's Tsugi ni Kuru Manga Awards
earlier this year.
