Naruto Shinden Novel Gets TV Anime Adaptation in February

This year's combined sixth and seventh issues of Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine revealed on Monday that the Naruto Shinden (The New Legend of Naruto) novel is getting a television anime adaptation. The anime will air for three weeks starting on Sunday, February 10. The magazine did not specifically state that the anime will air within the Boruto: Naruto Next Generations anime, but that anime also airs on Sundays.
The combined sixth and seventh issue of Weekly Shonen Jump also revealed a new key visual for the Boruto: Naruto Next Generationsanime, but the visual was not available online before press time.
The novel series features three novels: Naruto Shinden, Sasuke Shinden, and Shikamaru Shiden. All three books take place in a time when the title characters are parents.
Naruto Shinden shipped in Japan on May 2, Sasuke Shinden shipped in Japan on June 4, and Shikamaru Shinden shipped in Japan on July 4.
Mirei Miyamoto (Saiki Kusuo no Psi Nan film novelization) wrote NarutoShinden, Jun Esaka wrote Sasuke Shinden, and Takashi Yano (Itachi Shinden) wrote Shikamaru Shinden. Original manga creator Masashi Kishimoto drew the illustrations for the novels.
Yano's Itachi Shinden (Naruto: Itachi's Story) novels inspired a television anime adaptation in spring 2016. Viz Media released those novels in English.
Other novels in the franchise including the Naruto: Sasuke's StoryNaruto: Shikamaru's Story, and Naruto: Konoha Hiden - Shūgen Biyori novels (all three part of the six-novel Hiden series) received anime adaptations within the Naruto Shippūden anime in 2016-2017.
