Kyoto Animation began
streaming a promotional video on Thursday for an unaired "episode 14"
of the anime of Kotoko Ayano's Tsurune: Kazemai Kōkō
Kyūdō-bu (Tsurune:
Kazemai High School's Archery Club) novel.
The anime's fifth Blu-ray Disc and DVD volume
on May 1 will bundle the episode. The episode will first debut during two
sessions of a special event for the anime in Sagamihara on March 3.
The episode's story begins when the famous
idol Noririn arranges to have a photo shoot at the Yatanomori archery dojo.
Masa doesn't know anything about the idol, and Minato and the others express
similar indifference. Nanao remembers that Kirisaki High School's archery team
has a member who is a big Noririn fan named Sase, and suggests that Masa ask
him for help. Minato contacts Shū and asks him to tell Sase, but when the day
finally comes, all the regular competitors of Kirisaki are there waiting.
Sase's level of passion when talking about Noririn embarrasses everyone but
himself. Now everyone is together at the Yatanomori dojo.
The anime premiered in Japan on the NHK-General channel last October. Sentai Filmworks licensed the anime and streamed the anime on Crunchyroll and HIDIVE (with an English dub) as
it aired in Japan. Sentai Filmworks will
release the anime on home video.
Takuya Yamamura (Violet Evergarden episodes 7 and 12
director, Sound! Euphonium episodes 3 and 10 director) directed the anime as his series
directorial debut, while Michiko Yokote (Shirobako, Children of the Whales, Karakai Jōzu no Takagi-san) was in charge of series
scripts. Miku Kadowaki (Beyond the Boundary, Amagi Brilliant Park, Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid) designed the characters. Harumi Fuuki(Miss Hokusai, The
Piano Forest) composed the music. Lantis was credited for music
production. Luck Life performed the opening
theme song "Naru," and ChouCho performed the ending theme
song Orange-iro" (The Color Orange).
