Animax Asia Premieres Strike the Blood III OVA Series on March 25

Animax Asia announced on Saturday that it will air Strike The Blood III, the third Strike the Blood original video anime (OVA) season, beginning on March 25, with new episodes every weekday at 9:30 p.m. GMT +8.~

The channel will also air re-runs of the previous the two-episode Strike the Blood (Strike the Blood: Valkyria no Ōkoku-hen) OAV on Wednesday, and the Strike the Blood II OVA on Friday.
Hideyo Yamamoto returned to direct the series at CONNECT. Hiroyuki Yoshino again supervised and wrote the series scripts, and Keiichi Sano returned to design the characters. Jin Aketagawa directed the sound at Magic Capsule. Assumed Sounds composed the music. Kishida Kyōdan & The Akeboshi Rockets performed the opening theme song "Blood and Emotions," and Risa Taneda performed the ending theme song "Love Stoic."

The school action fantasy story of Strike the Blood begins with Kojō Akatsuki, a boy deemed the "fourth progenitor" — the world's most powerful vampire once thought to only exist in legend and lore. In the Itogamijima special zone for demons, a girl named Yukina Himeragi is entrusted with watching over the vampire and if needed, hunting him down.

Strike The Blood III shipped in five installments between December 2018 and September 2019. Each release featured two episodes, for a total of 10 episodes. The season covered up to volume 17 of Gakuto Mikumo's original light novel series, as well as the end of the "Holy War" (Seisen) arc.

Gakuto Mikumo's original novel series inspired a 24-episode television anime series in 2013, as well as two OVA seasons in 2015 and 2016-2017. Animax Asia aired the first television anime series as well as the previous OVAs in July 2018.

A new OVA titled Strike The Blood: Kieta Seisō-hen (Disappearing Holy Lance Arc) shipped on January 29. A new OVA season titled Strike The Blood IV will ship in five installments on April 8; June 24; September 30; December 23; March 24, 2021; and June 30, 2021.
