Towa no Yugure: Release Date, Cast, and Plot of the New Original Anime

Get ready for a brand new anime coming this October from the animation studio P.A. Works! It's an original story called "Towa no Yugure."

Here’s the wild premise: Imagine being a high school student named Akira who goes into a frozen sleep, only to wake up 200 years in the future. The world has been through a massive war and is now run by a new organization. Even something as basic as marriage has been replaced by a new system called "Elsie."

Just as Akira is taking all this in, an android named Yugure shows up. The crazy part? She looks exactly like his girlfriend from the past, Towasa. The first thing she does is propose marriage to a completely confused Akira! Believing the real Towasa must still be out there somewhere, Akira decides to travel with this look-alike android to find her.

The show has a great team behind it. It's being directed by Naokatsu Tsuda, known for his work on "JoJo's Bizarre Adventure," with music by Masahiro Tokuda ("Platinum End").

The main characters will be voiced by:

• Shūichirō Umeda as the time-displaced hero, Akira Himegami.

• Yui Ishikawa as the mysterious android, Yugure.

• Ai Kayano as Akira's long-lost girlfriend, Towasa Ōmaki.
