Get ready for a brand-new adventure from a legendary team! During today's Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase, Square Enix revealed The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales, a new action RPG from the acclaimed creators of the Bravely Default and Octopath Traveler series.
The game is set to launch for the Nintendo Switch 2 in 2026. But you won't have to wait that long to play it—a free demo is available to download today! The developers are eager to hear what players think and will be gathering feedback through a survey.
The story follows Elliot, an adventurer who, along with his fairy companion Faie, decides to venture out from the last safe kingdom into a world overrun by dangerous beasts. The game features the beautiful HD-2D graphics that the development team is famous for, blending gorgeous pixel art with modern effects.
In this action-packed RPG, Elliot can switch between seven different weapon types in battle. In a very cool twist, a second player can jump in and control Faie for two-player co-op!
