The film is shaping up to be a massive blockbuster. Nintendo itself is heavily involved, with series creator Shigeru Miyamoto producing the film alongside Avi Arad, the producer behind many Marvel hits like Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. The movie will be directed by Wes Ball, known for his work on the Maze Runner films.
After years of rumors and the incredible success of The Super Mario Bros. Movie, this project is finally coming to life. With the franchise currently at an all-time high thanks to recent hit games like Tears of the Kingdom and Echoes of Wisdom, the timing couldn't be better to see this beloved world on the big screen.
