Nintendo Direct Reveals 'Once Upon a Katamari' for Switch, PS5, Xbox, & PC
Get ready to roll! The King of All Cosmos has made another colossal mistake, and it's up to The Prince to fix it in a brand-new game, Once Upon a Katamari.
Announced during today's Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase, this is the first completely new entry in the beloved, quirky series in years. It’s set to launch on October 24 for the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.
The delightfully wacky premise is back: after the King accidentally destroys the Earth and all the stars (again!), The Prince must travel through time, rolling up everything in his path to restore the cosmos. The game features the classic, addictive gameplay fans love, but with all-new stages and a fresh soundtrack.
A huge new addition is "KatamariBall," a chaotic 4-player competitive multiplayer mode where players race to roll up the biggest katamari. You can battle it out with friends both online and offline. On top of that, you can now customize The Prince and his 68 cousins with different colors and facial features.
For die-hard fans, there will also be a "Deluxe King of All Sounds" edition packed with 60 nostalgic songs and 26 costumes from past games.
